Condition & Care Guide

Headaches & Migraines

Many chronic headaches originate from structural misalignments in the neck. Our multi-generational clinic targets the root cause of your head pain.

Understand Your Pain

Most tension headaches and a significant portion of migraines are cervicogenic, meaning they stem from issues in the neck. When upper neck joints are out of alignment, they compress nerves and blood vessels traveling to the skull, triggering headaches. Medications only mask the pain; chiropractic care resolves the alignment issue.

Common Warning Signs

Dull, aching pain that feels like a tight band wrapped around your head
Throbbing or pulsing pain, often concentrated on one side of the head
Sensitivity to light, noise, or strong odors during headache episodes
Nausea, dizziness, or visual disturbances (auras) before a migraine
Tightness in the neck and shoulders preceding or accompanying head pain

Our Treatment Approach

We focus on restoring mobility and relieving joint pressure through non-invasive techniques:

Suboccipital Decompression

Manual release techniques applied to the base of the skull to relax tight muscles and relieve pressure on the occipital nerves.

Upper Cervical Adjustment

Specific, micro-adjustments to the atlas (C1) and axis (C2) vertebrae to normalize spinal function and reduce nerve irritation.

Stress & Ergonomic Coaching

Personalized modifications to workstation setups and sleeping positions to eliminate headache triggers.
